The Galician Audiovisual Cluster is present today, Monday 16, in a new edition of the Mipcom fair in the French town of Cannes, to promote and support the internationalization of the Galician audiovisual industry. Among the objectives of the entity is also to spread all the talent and quality of Galicia through audiovisual products and promote their consumption.
In this edition, CTV, Ficción Producciones, Portocabo and Tamboura Films, are part of the Galician business delegation promoted by the Axencia Galega das Industrias Culturais (AGADIC) with the collaboration of the cluster, and complete the firms Maruxiña Filmes, Treeline Distribution and Zenit TV. Other partner companies such as Bambú Producciones, Filmax International, Pequerrecho Subtitulación and Televisión de Galicia also attend the market.
During the four days of the fair, Galician companies will have the opportunity to promote their products and services, expand the network of contacts and open new avenues of business for their formats.
On the part of the companies of the cluster, Ficción Producciones participated this weekend in MipJunior with the series of children's animation "Tutú", released in RTVE, and also arrives at Mipcom with the miniseries "Una casa en amargura". For its part, Portocabo takes to the market the series "Vidago Palace" and "Hierro" and the tv-movie "Hijos del sol". While CTV participates with the series "Dalia, la modista" and with the format "Camera Gags", and Tamboura Films with its project "Historias Mínimas". In Mipcom will also be titles of the Galician Television as "Hospital Real", "O Códice", "Urxencia Cero", "Serramoura" or "Peregrino", among others. And from Bambú Producciones the series "Tiempos de guerra", "Fariña" or "Velvet Coleccion".
Mipcom is considered one of the most important entertainment content markets worldwide, and offers the opportunity to contact producers, distributors and buyers from all continents, which favors the internationalization of content and formats.
Sponsorship of an act of Europe Creative MEDIA
In this edition, the Galician Audiovisual Cluster will carry out, in collaboration with AGADIC, a promotional action of the sector in Galicia. In this way, the Cluster will sponsor the "Happy Hour" of the MEDIA Program at Mipcom, which will take place tomorrow, Tuesday 17, at 5:00 p.m., at the European Creative Media stand (P4 .B1) and on the 5th floor (bar area).
During the course of the meeting there will be a presentation of the cluster and its companies, especially those that are present in the market, and will be projected a promotional video of the Galician audiovisual. On behalf of the entity comes to Mipcom its president, Jorge Algora.
This action is carried out within the Galician Program Exports Intermediate Organizations, with the financial support of the Instituto Galego de Promoción Económica (Igape), the Xunta de Galicia and the European Union.
Both the companies and the Audiovisual Cluster will deploy in Cannes an intense work with an agenda in which will be strengthened the international network of contacts, in order to generate business opportunities for the Galician companies.
